Chief Complaint: Tooth loss affecting dietary intake.

Past Medical History: Previously healthy.

Present Dental History: Maxillary teeth mobile, affecting mastication.

II. Clinical Examination

Specialised Examination:

Frontal view: Largely symmetrical.

Profile view: Straight facial profile with reduced lower facial height.

Intraoral examination: Teeth #16, #14, #13, #12, #11, #21, #22, #23, #24, #27, #34, #35, #36, #37, #38, #44, #47, #48 were missing; alveolar ridge contour was moderate in the edentulous areas. Residual roots were present at #18 and #15. Teeth #25, #26, #28, #31, #32, #33, #41, #42, #43, #45, #46 showed gingival recession, calculus ++, varying degrees of attachment loss, and mild gingival erythema.

Joint and occlusal examination: Normal mouth opening and opening path; no TMJ clicking or tenderness; no occlusal support, with reduced lower facial height.

Auxiliary Examination: Radiographic examination was performed.

III. Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

Diagnosis: Maxillary and mandibular partial edentulism; residual roots at #18 and #15; chronic periodontitis affecting #25, #26, #28, #31, #32, #33, #41, #42, #43, #45, #46.

Treatment Plan: Immediate extraction, immediate implantation, and immediate restoration for both jaws.

IV. Treatment Procedure

Surgical Phase (October 2024): Routine disinfection and draping were performed. After local anaesthesia, all maxillary and mandibular teeth were extracted. An incision was made, a full‑thickness flap was reflected, granulation tissue was debrided, and alveolar bone was contoured. Hanzu® implants were placed, and the gingiva was closed with tight sutures. Transfer copings were connected, silicone impressions were taken, and provisional prostheses were fabricated, adjusted for occlusion, and delivered.

Follow‑up: Sutures were removed approximately 1–2 weeks later according to the patient's condition. At 3 months post‑operatively, final impressions were taken for fabrication of the definitive restorations.

V. Case Summary

This case involved immediate implant placement and immediate loading for a maxillary full‑arch restoration. The S‑shaped double‑thread design of the Hanzu® implant system makes it particularly suitable for immediate extraction and immediate placement protocols.
