Case Report: Maxillary Full‑Arch Pterygoid Implant Restoration
I. Basic Information
Name: Mr. He
Gender: Male
Age: 71 years
Chief Complaint: Tooth loss.
Past Medical History: Previously healthy.
Present Dental History: Tooth loss affecting dietary intake.
II. Clinical Examination
Specialised Examination: Intraoral examination revealed that teeth #17, #15, #14, #22, and #23 exhibited Grade III mobility and were deemed non‑retainable.
Auxiliary Examination: Radiographic examination was performed.



III. Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
Diagnosis: Maxillary partial edentulism.
Treatment Plan: Maxillary implant‑supported restoration.
IV. Treatment Procedure
Surgical Phase (January 2025): Routine disinfection and draping were performed. After local anaesthesia, the remaining maxillary teeth were extracted. The bone was contoured, and 7 Hanzu® implants were placed (sizes: 4.5×18 mm, 4.5×13 mm, 4.0×13 mm, 4.0×13 mm, 4.5×13 mm, 5.0×8 mm, and 4.5×18 mm). The palatal flap was advanced and sutured to the labial side.


Follow‑up: Definitive restoration was completed 6 months later.
