Case Report: Immediate Implant Placement and Restoration Following Sinus Window Debridement and Bone Augmentation
I. Basic Information

Age: 60
Chief Complaint: Discomfort and mobility of posterior teeth; requesting implant‑supported restoration.
Past Medical History: Generally healthy.
Present Dental History: Persistent buccal swelling and discharge in the right maxillary posterior region for years, with tooth mobility and inability to chew.
II. Clinical Examination

Apical periodontitis involving teeth #14 and #15.
Radiographic examination revealed a hyperdense shadow in the right maxillary sinus, with buccal bone plate resorption at #14 and #15.
III. Diagnosis and Treatment Plan
Diagnosis: Apical periodontitis of teeth #14 and #15.
Treatment Plan: Immediate extraction of #14 and #15, management of the maxillary sinus pathology, immediate bone defect reconstruction, and immediate implant placement.
Detailed Plan: Immediate placement of two Hanzhu® implants (size: 3.5 × 13 mm each).
IV. Treatment Procedure
Surgery Date: October 11, 2024.
Under local anaesthesia, teeth #14 and #15 were extracted. An extraoral (or intraoral) window approach was used to perform sinus debridement. Two Hanzhu® implants were placed, and immediate provisional restorations were delivered.





V. Case Summary
This case presented with severe inflammatory response at the implant sites and substantial bone defects, demanding high performance from the implants. The Hanzhu® implant system demonstrated strong osseointegration capacity, making it highly suitable for this immediate restoration scenario. Additionally, it offers excellent cost‑effectiveness.
